Even though it's "a short drive from Downtown San Antonio", this "gorgeous" "countryside" resort on a 100-year-old cattle ranch "is a destination in itself" where "great golf", a "gracious spa facility", "one of the best lazy river pools" "for kids" and hayrides make it a "favorite family getaway"; rooms are "nothing special", but "fantastic amenities", decent fare and "enthusiastic service" elicit a hearty "eye-haw" – just "don't go unless you have children" or don't mind a place "overrun" with them.

Hidden charges. Per day resort fee charge.

The resort fee was an unexpected expense especially considering the pool/lazy river was not usable! Beautiful setting & grounds combined with located right across from Seaworld was a plus. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Parking lot was dark and scary.

Fabulous facility with plenty of amenities, I just wish I was able to partake in some of them. By the way, they don't tell you there is a $15/day resort fee that they assess upon check-out...

Kids meals have gone up in price over the years.

This hotel was awesome. I stayed in Sept. just after the peak season. Great rate on Priceline. Great value! I recommend that the hotel consider installing heating for the lazy river. That way, I would consider staying over and over in the fall and spring. ...read more
